Looking to escape the pop-heavy airwaves and dive straight into a sweaty, loud basement full of buzzing riffs? Roundtable Collective is pulling out all the stops for "Red Velvet Rock," a curated multi-band rock n' roll ceremony cutting through the noise on Friday, August 14th.

They are taking over the legendary, blood-tinted basement of Islington’s Hope & Anchor—a sacred live-music landmark that historically birthed the UK's punk and new wave golden eras. The night promises to deliver an authentic slice of London's raw, alternative underbelly with a killer four-band billing that hits hard from doors to curfew.

Roundtable Collective presents…

KAYAM is the musical duo of siblings Kim and Mike Rauss, playing what they affectionately label Falafel Pop: a fusion of the genres they enjoy, a near obsession for chickpeas and much love.

The siblings had a cross-cultural upbringing, living at various stages in England and Germany, and the wanderlust they experienced in their early years has no doubt left an impression on their approach to music making and live performance. Kim sings and plays the Celtic Harp. Mike plays guitar, sings and builds the loops with guitar percussion and the occasional beatboxing.

STEVIE TODDLER
Stevie Toddler is a composer, bassist and singer based in Bristol. She began her musical journey as a classical double bassist and has since migrated to performing in various alternative pop and jazz-influenced outfits on both double bass and bass guitar.

CECILIE GLENTHØJ
With a longing to make a difference, creating connections across borders and beliefs. Cecilie has been singing as long as she remembers. It seems as being a part of her human blueprint.
When gifted a guitar as a teenager, she found her songwriting companion, and slowly began to compose songs in Danish and English. During her 20’s she discovered Latin America, and Spanish unofficially became the language of her heart.
Travelling to many corners of the world, she hopes to equally inspire and get inspired.
